I am Charlie, an interdisciplinary artist indigenous to the northeast. I was raised on my family's ancestral farmland in Southern Vermont.
I grew up speaking with the land.
Drawing with the plant and animal medicine, the supernatural ecology, and ancient forms around me.
I engage with my work as
an act of translation.
weaving what I am shown into
visual works.
My recent works speak of conversations between spirits, the medicine & messages they exchange with one another, and how we may celebrate work that occurs between the worlds.
I am profoundly grateful to be able to pursue art as my full-time career, a lifeway that supports & protects me.
I have been a full-time artist since 2019,
and In the summer of 2020 I opened Pondwater Studio.
I currently travel throughout the Northeast creating visual works in graphic design, commission projects,
and my independent artwork:
in printmaking, painting, & sculpture.
I come from a linage of artists
and feel honored to continue this work.
